Pasalymany Tapes No. 17
Reel to reel loop traps that wont ease up. Sparse throbbing beats and internal squeals. Something ain't right but it sure feels good. Brother says there's a mandolin somewhere deep in the mess. Press record again, now play, now record. Beautiful. Xeroxed j-card and spray painted tapes. Numbered edition of 25. (SOLD OUT)
Side A of this cassette single is an experiment in brainwave synchronisation. A Mind Machine with strobe light goggles was attached to each musicians head to help synchronize the two hemispheres of their brains. The stimulus was intense and the alpha frequencies almost triggered photosensitive epilepsy before they crashed down and passed out. Side B is just like the Lightbike scene in Tron. It is about losing yourself in a maze where speed, space and time change at every turn. Recorded in an old-school time pod. Straight up bendy collage by Felix Morel. Black spray painted cassettes with gold splatter, just like the future. Numbered edition of 100.
